Matt and I were high school sweethearts. We first became a "couple" right before my freshman year of high school (his junior year) and have been together ever since! We were married in 2004. I finished my undergrad degree in mathematics and education and Matt finished his master's in English in 2007. We moved away from home so Matt could finish schooling and will hopefully complete his Ph.D. in English in 2012.
We took our first steps toward starting a family at the beginning of 2008. After a little over a year and a half of no luck, we decided to pursue adoption. We had always planned on adopting so why not now? We submitted our application in August of 2009. We hit a couple bumps along the way, changed countries, changed agencies, and finally, on October 22, 2010, we received our referral for our baby boy!
Prior to becoming a mommy I taught high school math, worked at a CPA firm, and tutored for the public school system. Now I'm a stay-at-home-wife/mama and I LOVE it! This has ALWAYS been my dream!
